How it works
A child answers a short set of questions at a time. QuillQuest starts them at a level that suits their age, then moves with them — words they find hard come back sooner, and words they have secured come back later. Progress is shown as levels, stars and streaks so that the next step is always clear and always small.
Everything needed to practise is built into the app, including the recorded voice that reads each word aloud. No internet connection is required to use it.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies your child. In full detail:

The full privacy policy spells out everything above, including the one thing a plain “we collect nothing” answer would gloss over: a request for a recorded clip necessarily names the word it speaks.
For schools and IT
QuillQuest needs no accounts, no roster upload, no licence and no procurement. There is nothing for a district to approve and no student data to process. QuillQuest for schools answers the usual district review questions directly — what is stored and where, COPPA and SOPIPA, retention, and classroom use.
audio.malcom.io, and optional
progress syncing uses sync.malcom.io. Neither carries advertising, trackers or any
